I run regular professional supervision for people who work as a Life Coach, Mentor, NLP Practitioner or Trainer. I offer both one-to-one and group supervision.

One-to-one supervision

Personal one-to-one supervision gives you the opportunity to explore your practice as a professional on a regular basis, either face to face or by phone.

Group Supervision

During group supervision you can expect to work with a number of practitioners from various professional backgrounds, including the corporate and mental health sector. It will offer you the opportunity to gain support in the form of ideas, information and suggestions from other professionals, as well as emotional support and appropriate reassurance.

The supervision process will give you time and space to reflect on your practice and you will have a chance to gain objectivity and put some perspective to your own work. Supervision also provides you with the ability to reflect on your processes and outcomes, and to experiment with new ways of creating shifts for your clients.

Previous and existing clients have said how beneficial my approach is when working with particularly complex and difficult situations or with areas that trigger “hot spots”. All my clients receive a copy of my Supervision Workbook, and suggested reading material also forms part of my service.

Each Supervision day runs from 11.00am – 3.00pm. The morning session is purely for supervision and the afternoon session incorporates new models and techniques that you will be able to add to your toolkit.

Why do you need a supervisor?

First and foremost, a supervisor can help you to develop expertise in your professional area. Having the opportunity to reflect on your work and talk through tricky client issues, and to explore different approaches will help both you and your clients.

Many professional bodies such as APECS, the ICF, the Association for Coaching, the EMCC, CIPD and ILM are now encouraging and advocating the importance of members receiving regular supervision. Supervision can also be seen as part of your CPD (continuing professional development).

Increasingly, HR departments and buyers of the helping, performance and training professions are requesting that their external coaches, mentors, NLP practitioners and trainers should be in regular supervision. This gives the company the chance to maximise its return on any investment.

Supervision will also enhance the ability and skills level of internal professionals, by allowing for reflection on personal and professional qualities.

Finally, an external supervisor provides the opportunity to use a standard for measuring or assessing the competence level of your service against other organisations, offering a form of quality assurance.
